Using extreme cold to treat various skin conditions, Cryotherapy was previously used in medical procedures, but has become increasingly popular in the aesthetic industry for its blemish removing abilities.
Skin blemishes are marks, spots or discoloured areas of the skin. Common types of blemishes include moles, warts, age spots and skin tags, but can also include birthmarks, Cherry angioma, Solar lentigo and Milia. These blemishes can be caused by various factors such as age, genetics, sun exposure, and hormonal changes, and some skin blemishes can even improve naturally over time, such as acne. But unfortunately, many types of blemishes can be long-term (or even permanent) and difficult to get rid of without professional intervention.
Thankfully, Cryotherapy can remove many skin blemishes with quick, safe and virtually pain free treatments. Using a small, non invasive tool, called a CryoPen®, our experts can target the areas of skin that trouble you, and permanently remove the blemishes and marks.
What are the benefits of Cryotherapy treatment?
Safe and painless
Cryotherapy is a very safe method of blemish removal. Unlike other methods, such as surgery, this treatment is non-invasive, and requires no incisions and no stitches. The CryoPen® is simply applied to the area for a few seconds, and is a comfortable and pain-free procedure.
Your Cryotherapy treatment will take only minutes to complete. You can get back to your normal activities immediately after the treatment, so you don’t need to worry about taking time off work, cancelling your plans or making childcare arrangements. You can go on with your day as usual. All that we ask is that you keep the treated area dry for 24 – 48 hours.
Compared to other methods, such as surgery or laser treatments, Cryotherapy is an affordable alternative. Most clients require only one treatment, and our Cryotherapy treatments start at only £90.
Another advantage of using Cryotherapy is that it does not leave scars. The extremely cold temperature administered by the CryoPen® removes the blemish and encourages healthy skin to heal naturally in that area, with no scars or marks in its place.
Cryotherapy has been proven to be extremely effective. Whilst you might need more sessions depending on your particular problem, in most cases, the blemish will disappear after only one treatment and will not return. The removal is permanent and you’ll be able to see the final result within a few weeks of your treatment. We recommend that you avoid excessive sun exposure and any abrasion to keep your complexion looking its best, and as always, wear sunscreen.
